February 9 2013 We escaped the cold

I did not post anything this morning. Thought I might find something more interesting during the day. I shot this picture this afternoon from a paddle boat. Not that anybody will see this but we'll leave it a mystery for now. I'll post something else in the morning from here.

Not shooting much but wanted to post something. Shot this from our garage and applied the in-camera water color filter. The effect is new with this camera and it's the first time I tried it.

February 4 2013 Be careful what you wish for

We've been lamenting our lack of snow and the pretty winter wonderland scenes we've missed. Well last night we got maybe a littel more than we wanted and it's still snowing.

I know some of you are tired of seeing my backyard out the window but hey this is my first "real" winter shot this season. I did this with a wide angle and then applied the natural hdr effect from Perfect Effects. Original is here http://smu.gs/XF9RrR
