Art Hill > December 27 2009 Winter Wonderland

Yesterday morning the weather forecasters said we would have light snow showers ending around noon. It snowed all day and "light" was not a word that came to mind. When I cleared the driveway around 5:30 we had about 6 inches. Some of the towns not far North of here got 13 or 15 inches. We probably got another inch or so.

Except for clearing the driveway I wasn't even outside yesterday so shot this out the back window. That's our pond near the center.

I tried to capture the falling snow but didn't have much luck so I shot a 10 second video

Update: George I don't use a shovel except to "push" the snow off the porch. For everything else I'm just walking behind a snowblower.
Art Hill > December 26 2009 Airborn

Kyle and Braden got this new trampoline like thing for Christmas. Kyle wanted to see if I could get a picture of him jumping into it. Braden isn't sure this is a good idea :-)
Art Hill > December 25, 2009 Jumping for joy

Merry Christmas to all my smugmug friends. Lindsey and Scarlett and their parents were at our house for Christmas Eve. I think the girls had a good time.
Art Hill > December 24 2009 Ice

Merry Christmas! Everything here is coated with ice this morning. 20 car pile up on the tollway near here last night. Rain is on the way with flood watches. I shot this out the window a few minutes ago.
Art Hill > December 29 2009 Oh the weather outside is frightful

The park near my daughter's house. My grandson goest to school in that bulding in the lower left. I grabbed this out the car window on the way to their house.

Ominous weather forecast for the next several days here. "Wintry mix" today, heavy rain tomorrow changing to snow on Christmas day. Airlines are advising passengers to re-book :-)
Art Hill > December 22 2009 Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Just a quick 4 image pano out our back window. Snowing pretty steadily. Looks like the big storm for Thursday is gonna be rain though so it will ruin our White Christmas. Usually I'd rather have rain but not this week.
Art Hill > December 21 2009 Our house

Wishing all of your a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 10 second shot of our house at night, dressed up using picnik.
Art Hill > December 20 2009 Kyle and Santa

Santa stopped by our annual family Christmas party with a sack of presents for the kids. A good time was had by all
Art Hill > December 19 2009 It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

This is the view out my back window at 7:00 AM this morning. We're heading out in a couple of hour for the annual family Christmas party. There will be 36 of us this year. Hopefully this snow won't give us too many travel problems.
Have a great weekend.
