Art Hill > November 25, 2009 Ready for takeoff I was going to post this a couple of weeks ago and went with something else.
Art Hill > November 24, 2009 A berry good day Excuse the pun - yesterday was a good day for Lori, the first good day in over two weeks. We think she turned the corner. She has a doctor's appointment this morning and I think the news will be encouraging. Thanks to all of you who have commented and emailed me about her.
Art Hill > November 23. 2009 Still hanging on I'm surprised to find a few flowers here and there this late. I'll capture 'em while I still can. I hate going a long time without shooting flowers and we're getting close. Update on Lori - she gets a little better every day but her progress seems very slow. Still short of breath, coughing and painful right lung. We're hoping her recovery will speed up one of these days.
Art Hill > November 22, 2009 Beep, beep My little buddy Scarlett. She loves cars, trucks, trains, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Ken. Princesses, dolls, Barbie, not so much.
Art Hill > November 21, 2009 Scarce It's getting harder and harder to find anything still in bloom. Most flowers disappeared weeks ago and temperatures haven't been out of the 40's until yesterday. Once in a while I spot some flowers hanging on. This was in the parking lot at the doctor's office.
Art Hill > November 19, 2009 Attention 40 Year Olds I saw this sign at the Baja Fresh restaurant near where we live. I was determined to get a picture but it was raining, no convenient place to park and this is at a very busy intersection. I shot this one from my car while I was waiting for the left turn arrow. I wanted a shot from straight in front so I readied the camera for a second shot as soon as the car in front of me moved. Just then I noticed a police car to my right so when we got the green arrow I moved on without taking the second picture. I think if I'd gotten right in front I could have obscured the 'S' in ages and gotten the 'P' in Per. Update on Lori - she had a setback yesterday and was having trouble breathing. I took her back to the doctor. More antibiotics and an inhaler. He said if she doesn't get better pretty quick it could be back into the hospital for more aggressive measures. So we're not out of the woods yet.
Art Hill > November 19, 2009 Joey and Jake The boys always come up to my office with me first thing in the morning. Once in a while they sleep close enough for a picture. As often as not though, if I go for the camera one of them gets up, thinking we're heading downstairs for more food. :-) Lori seems to be doing better and will see the doctor today. At least I shot some pictures yesterday; it had been a long dry spell.
