Caught this in our backyard with the afternoon sun shining through.

I won't be posting tomorrow morning as we're leaving this afternoon for a long plane ride. I'll let you guess where we are in my next post. With a big time zone change I'll be posting much later in the day. I've noticed that when that happens practically nobody sees my pictures so you'll have to be on the lookout for it. (i.e. it won't be on the first couple of pages if that's how you usually browse).

Thanks so much for yesterday's overwhelming response to several of my photos. Somehow my 9 month old photo announcing I had been laid off resurfaced. I want to thank everyone for all the encouraging words and good thoughts about that. This is just such a wonderful community.
To my further surprise and old post of neckties in New York and a winter time explosure from last January also garnered a fair amount of attention. And all of this was on top of my actual POD. Don't know how all that came together, but it made my day. So, once again, thank you so much.

In our pond. Thanks so much for the response to yesterday's flower and fish picture.

Sorry for another fish and flower picture but I just couldn't pass this one up.
Art Hill > September 19, 2009 Water Lily and Fish
Same water lily as yesterday, not as good a shot of the lily but I got the reflection and the fish.
Have a great weekend.
Art Hill > September 18, 2009 Water Lily
I was downtown most of the day yesterday and grabbed a couple of shots that I thought I might use for POD. To my surprise though, this water lily was still open in the late afternoon and I thought it was nice with the afternoon light. I promise myself I will post something other than water lilies but I have a hard time keeping that promise :-)

Same lily as yesterday but viewed from the side.
I was really surprised yesterday to get comments on three old posts. They were from last October, November and April. I have no idea how those three happened to attract attention since I've rarely gotten comments on anything more than a week old.
